Teenager detained for killing own mother in Lugo

THE Guardia Civil have arrested a 17-year old suspected of killing in his own mother in Foz in Lugo.

The 36-year woman’s old’s body was found inside a suitcase in in the family home with indications she had been stabbed, according to Spanish media reports.

It was also reported that a passer-by alerted the authorities after seeing the teenager in a local park with an injury to his hand, and when they asked him if he was alright he replied “I’ve done something.”

The Guardia arrested the son a short time after making the grisly discovery in the suitcase.

The mother and son, of Brazilian origin, but with Spanish nationality, shared the home in the Galician town.
