Police on the hunt for Halloween attacker in Nerja

POLICE in Nerja are on the hunt for a young man who allegedly tried to sexually attack an 11 year old girl during the Halloween festivities on Thursday.

According to the police report, the man was wearing a cap with is face covered by a scarf and was on a bicycle at the time.

The incident occurred on Thursday night during the Halloween celebrations in the Capistrano urbanization area when the man rode up to the young girl who was with a group of friends and grabbed her arm, allegedly trying to touch her intimate areas.

She managed to escape and alert her parents who then alerted the Guardia Civil. Due to the nature of the incident and the fact she had a slight injury to her arm she was referred to the Hospital Comarcal de la Axarquía for precautionary checks.

No arrests have yet been made and police are finding investigations difficult due to the fact that at the time of the incident, there were hundreds of people in the vicinity, most of whom were wearing disguises.

The Guardia Civil have released a description of the man, stating that he was tall, blonde, thin and had his face covered with a cap and a handkerchief.
