Martial arts fighter Conor McGregor has been convicted in court of punching a man in a Dublin pub in April and fined €1,000
The 31-year-old pleaded guilty to a single charge of assault and apologised to his victim at Dublin’s District Court, which saw CCTV footage of the incident. ( see video below)
McGregor, told the court that what he did was “very wrong”
“I assure you nothing of this nature will happen again,” he added.
McGregor’s solicitor, Michael Staines, said his client accepted that what he did was wrong, adding that Mr Keogh did not suffer any physical injury and disclosed his client had paid the assaulted victim an undisclosed compensation package.
