Gruesome Job For Fireman As They Recover Decayed Body In Torrevieja Apartment

Torrevieja firemen yesterday morning carried out an operation to recover the dead  body of a 40-year-old man, from inside his first-floor apartment.
 
 The alarm was raised by neighbours, who complained of a very strong and decaying stench.
 
The fire service accessed the apartment through a window using a hydraulic platform and inside they found the man dead and the body decaying.
 
It’s understood the man had been dead for 6 or 7 days. 
 
 The deceased man suffered from a mental illness and it was extremely unhygienic inside the apartment, full of waste and in an extremely unsanitary condition others in the apartment block reported.
 
The Guardia Civil is investigating the cause of death, although they say that everything suggests a non-violent death.
