HOMEOWNERS in Altea’s Old Quarter are again in line €15,000 grants for painting their properties’ facades.
“This will improve the image of zones like the Old Quarters in Altea and Altea la Vieja that are so important to our town,” Town Planning councillor Jose Orozco said.
“Once again the town hall is making an effort to stretch its Budget to assist protected areas like our traditional centres while helping owners make the effort to meet the required demands and regulations,” the councillor added.
This year the allocations have been increased from €300 to €500, Orozco explained.  “Since last year we have been taking into account not only the cost of painting but also the need for damp treatment,” he said.
Residents in the Old Towns of Altea and Altea la Vieja have until November 13 to apply for a grant at the Citizens’ Attention Office in the town hall.
Calle La Mar, Calle Filarmónica, Calle Fco. Martinez Orozco and Pont de Moncau in Altea are also eligible for the grants, Orozco announced.
Applicants should have with them the official application and other required paperwork that can be downloaded from the http://www.altea.es/es/concejalias/urbanismo/informacion-de-interes/ section on the municipal website.
