WHILST many people may think that an orchestral concert can be staid and boring, the Film Symphony Orchestra (FSO) makes it abundantly clear that this does not have to be the case.
Unver the leadership of charismatic and flamboyant young Spanish conductor Constantino Martínez-Orts, the FSO specialises in the performance of great music from the movies.
It’s a ground breaking concept that sees a professional symphony orchestra perform with a background of visual effects, light shows and sometimes costumed actors giving a performance which cannot be ignored.
Every year they embark on a 50 stop tour of Spain and they are currently working their way around the country now.
Most shows sell out quite quickly but there are currently some tickets still available for their shows in Murcia at the Auditorio Víctor Villegas on December 20 (cost €36 to €52) and Cartagena at El Batel on December 22 (cost €35 to €50).
Next year, they will be visiting Torrevieja on St Valentine’s Day February 14 and Alicante City on March 28 but to see details of the entire tour or to make bookings visit www.filmsymphony.es.
This current tour sees them performing a range of music from films old and new and includes excerpts from the soundtracks of Aladdin, Avengers: Endgame, Back to the Future and many more.
