INVESTIGATION: An 84-year-old inmate has fallen to his death
THE National Police are investigating the death of a resident after he fell from the fourth floor of a residential centre in Palma. The incident occurred last Friday (25 October), where it is reported that an 84-year-old man launched himself from a building in La Bonanova, hitting a barrier as he landed. Paramedics and police officers immediately rushed to the scene, finding that the man was already dead. The Homicide Group has taken charge of the investigation to clarify the circumstances of the event which is believed to have been a voluntary act. In September of last year, sexual abuse was committed against a 94-year-old woman by an employee at the same residence. The Mallorcan Institute of Social Affairs (IMAS) reported this to the National Police, where the 28-year-old worker was placed on provisional leave. — Please note that our current charitable activity is on behalf of Cuidad de los Niños orphanage in Malaga.
