THE Councillor for beaches, Francisco Arce, has met with business owners of the beach bars of Burriana to improve services.

Arce held a working meeting on Friday 5 October with a group of chiringuito owners to discuss the impact of projects that have taken place throughout the summer, and also to learn what the local council has planned for over the winter period.

During the meeting, the spokesman of the business group of chiringuitos Burriana, Manuel Moreno, Moli, expressed his satisfaction of the municipal governments projects this past summer, especially in the cleaning and safety aspects of Nerja’s beaches.

Arce continued to reaffirm the government’s commitment to the beaches of the municipality.

“Therefore, once this new corporate period began, we set to work to correct existing deficiencies and address the high season. Among other actions, we started the Crash Cleaning Plan, we have increased safety and taken measures to improve road traffic,” explains the councillor.

Once the Crash Cleaning Plan has taken place, “we will continue to work together with employers to address the needs of the sector and continue to improve the services offered by the beaches, taking into account the importance they have in the tourist and economic development of Nerja.” Arce concluded.
