Rincon body builder stars in regional championships

RINCON resident Guillermo Nogueras has taken victory in the ‘Classic Bodybuilder’ category in the Regional Championship of Andalusia.

Nogueras took the victory in the competition held in Loja (Granada) after recently emerging victorious in the Provincial Championship of Seville, the season-opening competition of the national bodybuilding championships held in Morón de la Frontera.

The his latest win in Loja last Sunday 13 has given him the opportunity to compete in the Andalusian Cup, to be held on 26 October in Aljaraque, Huelva.

Nogueras runs Olimpo Ngr Gym, a bodybuilding and fitness gym in Rincón de la Victoria along with his brother Antonio and has perused a career in bodybuilding since he was 18 years old.

“I wanted to have the body like when I saw the superheroes in comics”, he explained.

Now, at the age of 30, he now dedicates his life to his gym and competing.

“The most sacrificed thing in the competition season is the diet. As far as training is concerned, I do an hour of cardio every day and an hour and a half of weights”, he continued, explaining his regime leading up to the competion.

Under the watchful eye of local bodybuilding legend Paco Mula, he continues his training leading up to the event in which he will show off his skills to the rest of the country in Huelva next weekend.
