Non Spaniard Social Security Contribution Figures Released

The latest official figures show that the number of non-Spaniards contributing and entering into to the Spanish Social Security system increased by over 12,300 during September, now totalling almost 2.15 million, and accounting for well over 10% of the national workforce.
 
The data reflects a year-on-year increase of 7.63% and the major contributors are from Romanians at 345,000, Moroccans at 251,000 and Italians at 132,700.
 
The number of UK citizens contributing is very much at the lower end of the scale, at just under 69,000.
