Boris Johnson has confirmed to European Council president Donald Tusk that he has written to him tonight to seek a Brexit delay and request an extension.
The move came after a defiant Boris told the Commons he would not negotiate a fresh Brexit extension with the EU despite suffering an embarrassing defeat in Parliament.
Although he has been left no option tonight to write the letter of request after losing today’s vote.
Johnson though will push ahead Monday in an attempt to get MP’s to vote in agreement but quite frankly it’s looking unlikely with the DUP having withdrawn their support.
Sources have said Boris is fuming tonight at today’s actions of defiance against his plans.
