Andalusia por Si urges stray cat progress in Velez Malaga

PROGRESS: Andalucía por Si are pushing Velez Mayor for CES action: Source: Facebook / Jose Pino

SPOKESMAN for Andalusia por Si in Velez-Malaga, Jose Pino has urged the mayor to deliver his stray cat promise.

The CES project (Capture, Neuter, Release) project to control the umber of stray cats in Velez Malaga had previously been approved by plenary discussion, led by Velez Mayor Antonio Moreno Ferrer, two weeks ago.

However The Andalucía por Si party has remained sceptical as an apparent lack of action from the governing party has thrown shade over the initiative.

“We still know absolutely nothing of the change of the municipal ordinance so that the C.E.S. can be implemented in the feral cats of the municipality of Velez-Malaga” explained Pino.

“The approval of the proposal in plenary was only the first step, now we have to fight for it to be carried out and, therefore, I demand the mayor Antonio Moreno Ferrer to fulfil what he promised in plenary and start working on it” he continued.

Pino ended his statement with a warning to the government, stating that if actions are not put into place, they will bring proven measures introduced in Malaga into Axarquia to show how it should be done.
