Rafa Nadal Hints At Retirement Before His Pending Wedding

Rafa Nadal has hinted that his retirement from the sport could be earlier than expected.

Nadal Just days before his wedding to sweetheart Meri Perelló, the 33-year-old, Mallorca-born star has announced that he’s in the final phase of his on-court career, although intends to stay in the world of tennis as far as he can after retirement.

Nadal has a sports academy in his and Meri’s home town of Manacor, where some of the best young tennis players in Spain are currently coming through the ranks and is Nadal’s ambition project for the future, and nurture more Spanish talent.

For the moment though, Rafa has pulled out of the Shanghai Masters, in order to focus on being in top form for the London Masters, and it’s expected he will compete in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, his first focus though is his pending wedding which no doubt be monitored by his huge following of female fans.
