Cannabis Club Raid On The Costa del Sol

SALES: Police claim drugs were sold.

POLICE have arrested four men who run a ‘marihuana club’ in Marbella, accused of a crime against public health.

The men, of Russian, Lebanese and Dutch nationalities and aged between 22 and 47 years, are accused of drug trafficking and, police say, ran a point of sale dedicated to the distribution of marihuana and hashish.

The investigation began when agents of the National Police detected in Marbella a premises linked to a club that favoured the ‘regularisation’ of cannabis.

According to the investigation, the business had no other purpose than to promote the consumption and sale of drugs under the guise of a private association or club.

During a raid police seized seized 440 grams of marihuana, 63 cigarettes, 10 containers containing THC and intervened €2,212.

The arrested have been placed at the disposal of the courts.
