Marbella Council institutes Local Police presence at local schools
IN order to ensure that students at 47 schools are safe when arriving and leaving each day, the Marbella Council has allocated 40 Local Police officers to be on hand.
Running from now until next June, the intention is to ensure the safety of the youngsters both from potential improper approaches and from rushing out into busy roads.
Also on hand will be a five representative Family Association Group (GAF) who will be patrolling nearby parks and ‘hang outs’ in order to control and cut down truancy.
Although the officers will be on hand to control the areas, the council has also reminded parents who drive their children to act sensibly and responsibly in order to avoid traffic congestion nearby.
