A stolen truck ploughed into cars in the centre of the German city of Limburg on Monday leaving several people injured, police said, adding that the driver had been detained.
Police have put the number of people hurt at 12 including one person in a critical condition.
A possible act of terrorism is being investigated as the investigation continues. Police searched a flat in Langen south of Frankfurt early this morning saying it was linked to what had happened in Limburg.
Germany has been on high alert following several jihadist attacks in recent years.
