IMPRESSED:The council said thepark improvements were advancing in leaps andbounds.
Adra´s First Cross Riders Circuit AN Adra park will have the municipality’s first Cross Riders circuit. The local council is setting up the circuit in the Parque del Canal as part of a series of works to update and create new facilities in the park. It will have different levels and will be aimed at cyclists, BMX riders, skaters and skateboarders. Visiting the park last week, Mayor Manuel Cortes described the transformation as “impressive”. The Mayor said it will be “a large area for enjoying open-air sport, relaxing or simply having fun” which would be for all Adra’s residents of all ages and not just those living in the immediate area. As well as the cross riders track there will be a children’s play area, a mini basketball court, a sand track, a street workout zone with six exercise machines and an area with bio-health equipment. The council is also installing LED lighting at the park and an electronically programmed irrigation system. The Parque del Canal project has an investment of more than €110,000, 80 per cent financed by the European Regional Development Fund and 20 per cent by Adra council.
