BREAKING NEWS – No Rivers Of Blood Plea

The former chairwoman of the Hong Kong Democratic party Emily Lau has said she “does not want to see rivers of blood in Hong Kong” and says Hong Kong chief executive Carrie Lam needs to come up with a political solution to the crisis rather than using the police.

In total since yesterday police have made 769 arrests.

Those detained ranged in age from 12 to 71. More than 100 people were taken to hospital and 30 police were injured.

Tuesday’s unrest saw police fire, live rounds, 900 rubber bullets and 1,400 rounds of tear gas. That compares with 1,000 tear gas canisters fired in the first two months of protests.
