A POLICE dog sniffed out 4.5 kilos of hashish hidden in a bus passengers luggage.
The bus was travelling from Malaga to Barcelona when it made a stop at Elche and Local police decided to check it for narcotics.
Officers searched a suitcase identified by the dog and found the drugs in the form of 449 ‘acorns’ hidden inside juice containers.
After questioning the passengers and the bus driver officers identified a 25-year-old man as the suspected owner of the suitcase, although he denied it was his.
He has been handed into court custody while investigations continue to see if the case is definitely his.
