IN order to show that despite the fact the Rock as a whole is against Brexit, the Government of Gibraltar has today (October 1) opened its own Brexit Information Office.

The office is located at 323 Main Street opposite the John Mackintosh Hall and will be open from 9am to 3pm on weekdays and those working there will attempt to deal with questions from local residents and businessmen.

Inaugurating the office, Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia explained that there had been a huge amount of work for politicians and civil servants involved in the planning for Brexit but acknowledged that with the many unknowns created by the current political situation in the UK there may well be a number of questions that would remain unanswered for the time being.

He stressed however that it was important to prepare for all eventualities and to remain calm.
