Bohemian Rhapsody top tune for European drivers

QUEEN’S all time classic Bohemian Rhapsody tops European drivers’ playlists.

Another Queen anthem, We will rock you, is the second top tune for behind the wheel listening, a major car rental company survey of 14,000 drivers’ musical preferences reveals.

Drivers in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and the UK ranked Bon Jovi’s Runaway as their third favourite, followed by Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic.

Justin Timberlake’s feel-good hit Can’t Stop the Feeling is in fifth place.

The Beatles 1965 song Ticket to Ride emerged as the sixth most popular on the road listening.

Survivor’s Eye of the Tiger, Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd, Shut Up and Drive by Rihanna and Led Zeppelin’s Rock and Roll make up the rest of the European drivers’ top 10.

Spanish drivers’ tastes are pretty close to those of most European drivers. Their top four driving songs are the same, but Cadillac solitario by Spanish rock band Loquillo y los Trogloditas sneaks in at number five and Roxette’s Sleeping in My Car is number nine.
