Mercedes F1 Race Team Sack Racist 4 On Eve Of Today’s Race

The sackings came after a racist bullying investigation was launched by the Mercedes F1 race team.

A series of racist bullying led to the sackings of staff members after an internal inquiry at the race team headquarters in Brackley.

F1 team Mercedes sacked all four employees after claims a Muslim employee was bullied.

A statement from Mercedes F1 Race Team read

“Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix Ltd confirms that four individuals were dismissed from the company on 2 August 2019.

“These dismissals followed an internal investigation that confirmed breaches of our Diversity and Equality Policy.
We condemn this behaviour in the strongest terms and acted immediately upon the complaint. We value the diversity of our employees and it is a source of strength for our team.
Our working environment is based on appreciation and mutual respect.”

The team member was allegedly described as a “Muslim terrorist f***”
It is also claimed that, during Ramadan, employees ran a sweepstake to guess when the team member would “break” the religious fast.
It’s understood the teammate had suffered harassment for several years of racist abuse which came to light after the sweepstake was discovered.
World Champion Lewis Hamilton the main driver for the Mercedes team is very outspoken against racism and supported the 4 sackings from his team.
