Rugby World Cup: Owen Farrell ‘missing half his nose’ after high hit in USA win

England coach Eddie Jones wasn’t happy as his playmaker Owen Farrell was left with “half his nose missing” after a horror head clash in the big RugbyWorld Cup win over the United States who were destroyed 47-3 by England.

The first red card of the tournament for his dangerous challenge on centre Farrell in the 71st minute came for Quill of the USA side.

Ex English Coach Clive Woodward described it as the worst challenge he had ever seen in rugby.

“Two games with 10 points, no major injuries. Owen just has half his nose missing. Apart from that pretty good,”

English Coach Jones said, trying to make a joke of the latest high tackle seen in the rugby world tournament.

The tackle as Woodward said was brutal, despite England cruising to victory in Pool C.

Jones finished in his final statement clearly not wishing to blight the tournament by saying “”I think he is missing half his nose so I’m sure it’s out there and I just hope it doesn’t end up on the BBQ tonight.”

The rugby World Cup is clearly starting to warm up thats for sure!
