Autumn of culture in Huercal-Overa

HUERCAL-OVERA’S Teatro Villa promises an autumn of culture.
Councillor Diego Ortega has unveiled details of the programme of events for October and November.
Tomorrow, Friday October 4, music is the main event, with a benefit concert in support of the Huercal-Overa Alzheimer’s Association.
From October 10 to 30 the venue will host ‘The Roman presence in Almeria’ exhibition, although the inauguration will be on Monday 7 at 8.30 in the evening.
October 12 is the ‘Dia de la Hispanidad’ public holiday in Spain, and the theatre will be marking the occasion with an evening spectacular of traditional music and dance.
There will be plenty of theatre over the next couple of months, including The Educateatreo’s presentation of ‘Las Habichuelas Magicas’ (The Magic Beans) on October 25.
From November 5 to 29 there will be an exhibition of Francis Tamayo’s photographs entitled ‘Inmersos’.
There will be more music on November 24, with a concert in honor of Saint Cecilia.
The month’s cultural line up comes to a close on November 28 with the Russian National Ballet’s performance of The Sleeping Beauty.
From October 16 to 21 Huercal-Overa celebrates its annual festival, one of the province’s most important.
