THREE young people have been arrested by the Guardia Civil accused of robbery with violence and intimidation in the car park of the Hospital Marina Baixa in Villajoyosa.
The alleged crime occurred on May 28 at around 8.45pm when a woman was robbed and injured. The victim gave a statement claiming a young man had approached her and distracted her as two people on a moped appeared on the scene. She alleges that she was shoved and hit before her handbag containing €100 was snatched from her.
The male who first approached her is alleged to have restrained her and then shoved her to the floor causing an injury to her leg. The three assailants fled, two on the moped and one on foot before the victim called the police.

The police were able to identify the three assailants aged 24, 22 and 19 and the woman was able to pick them out without hesitation as the people that attacked her. All three were released on provisional charges whilst they await trial and it is believed that some of them already have open arrest warrants for similar crimes.
