Whilst Chelsea battered Grimsby 7-1 at Stamford Bridge other Premiership clubs didn’t fare so easily.
West Ham United currently 5th in The Premier League were destroyed 4-0 by lowly Oxford United after making 9 changes to the team that beat Manchester United just last Sunday.
Manchester United themselves had to go to a penalty shoot out against Rochdale of League one after a 1-1 draw at full time.
Burton Albion also put away Premiership outfit Bournemouth 2-0 in a game held up with floodlight issues on more than one occasion that looked at one stage would be abandoned with Burton 1-0, which would have been a huge blow for them, thankfully light was restored at the final moment and Burton went on to score again.
A great night for under dog teams and more embarrassment for the beaten Premiership teams following on from Tottenham being knocked out yesterday by Colchester United.
