MORAIRA’s l’Espai la Senieta hosted the fourth edition of CREAMA’s Fourth Citizens’ Employment Forum.

The forum was open to members of the public as the Consortium for the Recovery of the Economic Activity in the Marina Alta gave details of the projects it presented during 2019.

This year the Consortium, a collaboration between Marina Alta town halls and the private sector, launched three pilot schemes.

Two of these targeted economic sectors and the was the Marina Alta statistics office, the Observatori de la Marina Alta.

The Punt Nautic set out to generate sustainable employment in the growing nautical tourism industry while the Xarxa Agricola established a network of agricultural professionals who collaborate to restore the value of agriculture as employment.

Linda came to Spain to live when she was 24, just over 52 years ago, and her husband is Spanish. She began writing for English-language local newspapers in the mid-1970s and hasn’t stopped since! She leads a Spanish life, which she believes is vital when conveying the news to English-speaking residents, and along the way she produced two editions of Expand Your Spanish, helping English-speakers to enlarge their knowledge of the language. She was excited to be in at the birth of the Euro Weekly News in 1999 and is still passionately writing for the paper 22 years later.
