A TOTAL of seven migrants have been picked up by Maritime Rescue as they tried to cross the Straight of Gibraltar in three kayaks and a surfboard.
Two Moroccans were rescued on Sunday after a passing merchant ship spotted them and informed the authorities, at 1.16 pm.
On Saturday two men were rescued when they were crossing the Strait in a canoe at around 11 am. Later the same day Maritime Rescue were called out again to pick up another three who left the Moroccan coast in another kayak and a surfboard. All five were also taken to Algeciras.
