BLESSED: Betty and Geoff celebrate reaching their milestone. CREDIT: Geoff Allison
LIFE is a gem for loving couple Betty and Geoff Allison who have celebrated their Diamond Wedding anniversary. Great-grandparents Betty and Geoff live in Pinar de Campoverde and celebrated their anniversary with a trip to Benidorm and a meal at the Benidorm Palace. The couple first met at Billingham Coop Youth Club in Teesside in 1957 where Betty asked Geoff for a ride on his shiny new BSA motorbike. They spent the next couple of years touring most of England and were married at Norton Parish Church in September 1959. In June 2007, they sold their family home in Billingham and moved to a villa in Pinar de Campoverde, Costa Blanca. During the past 60 years the couple have shared many interests including golf, fishing, cycling, walking and popular music. Betty spends her much of her spare time knitting dolls and animals for donation to charity and Geoff is a keen gardner. Geoff said: “We have been blessed with four children, six grandchildren and to date three great-grandchildren and counting. “We feel very lucky and blessed to have achieved this special milestone and thank all our family and friends for their best wishes.”
