English Football Club Offer All Thomas Cook Redundant Staff Free Entry

Thomas Cook redundant staff offered kind gesture by Football club 
 
 
Following the news that broke this morning that Peterborough-based travel company Thomas Cook had ceased trading. 
 
Peterborough football club have offered all Thomas Cook employees free tickets for their fixture vs. AFC Wimbledon this Saturday (3pm kick off) as a small gesture to show their  support for the city and its people.
 
 
The football club and Thomas Cook enjoyed a long-standing relationship since the travel business moved its headquarters to the city in 1977.
 
 Thomas Cook sponsored the clubs shirts and the main grand stand for long period during the 90’s as well as other sponsorship of late.
 
Thomas Cook employees have been requested to visit the ticket office at the stadium and simply provide proof of employment to secure their free match ticket.
 
The club is also offering a nominal fee for any former staff’s children to attend with the hope that a little football can take their mind off their current plight.
