SINGER SensiFalan is performing as part of a provincial government initiative to promote homegrown culture.
The Almeria-city born artist is appearing at the cultural centre in Benahadux tomorrow, Friday, at 9pm as one of the events included in the Diputacion de Almeria Culture Department’s ‘In their own name’ cultural circuit.
The circuit is aimed at giving people across the province the chance to see the work of recognised Almeria artists and to go to performances bysingers and groups linked to the province.
SensiFalan will also be giving concerts in Olula del Rio and Velafique in November as part of her ‘A world in a sea’ tour.
Originally from the La Chanca neighbourhood of Almeria, the singer has enjoyed a successful career which has seen her perform across Spain and overseas, including in Ireland, Chile, Poland, Uruguay, Colombia, Mexico and Morocco.
She takes elements of flamenco and Sephardic music to create her very own particular style in her compositions, and is known for always looking for new influences.
