CALPE council voted unanimously to regulate development in some unbuilt urban sectors. This will affect the El Morello, Ifach, La Fossa and El Saladar districts after all parties agreed to a one-off modification of the PGOU town plan, reaching an agreement only three months after the municipal elections. These heralded the arrival of the Ciudadanos councillor who now heads the Town Planning department and whose party allows the Partido Popular party to retain control of the municipality. The town hall is now working on standardising unbuilt into into three different categories. Plots between 500 and 3,000 square metres will be able to put up one building, rising to two buildings on plots of between 3,000 and 6,000 square metres and three on land with an area of between 3,500 and 7,000 square metres.
