Unmanned raft found in Javea Credit: WordPress
THE crew of the Sol de Javea, a fishing boat from Javea, found a raft drifting 15 miles from the Cabo de San Antonio on Monday whilst fishing.
Upon approaching the raft the crew discovered that there was nobody on board. It is believed that the occupants of the raft must have made it to land and abandoned the boat. Due to the strong winds the boat had drifted out to sea and was a hazard for passing boats so the fishing boat decided to tow it to the port in Javea and reported their discovery to the Guardia Civil.
