VERA’S San Cleofas fiesta gets underway on Thursday at 6pm with the traditional procession through the town streets, followed by the inauguration of the festivities at 8pm and the opening of the El Palmeral fairground at 9.30pm.
Friday’s highlights include a performance by the Las Chibancas flamenco club at 10pm, followed by live music from the Orquesta Boreal and dancing. On Saturdaynight the live music will be courtesy of the Orquesta Amadeus and eighties pop group Ole Ole.
Orquesta Amadeus will be back on stage on Sunday, but the main act of the night will be Seville band SiempreAsi.
There will be the customary jousting for ribbons on Monday early evening at 6pm in Calle Isabel la Catolica. From 7-10pm there will be the fiesta without noise and all the lights to enable people with autism and Asperger’s syndrome to fully enjoy themselves.
One of the big events on Tuesday is the early evening procession of horses and carriages.
There will be midday celebrations at the fairground from 2pm onwards on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
