THREE workers digging a Malaga metro tunnel have been injured in an accident.
The trio were in the subway tunnel under the city’s Alameda Principal when scaffolding collapsed.
Emergency services were alerted at 6.15 pm on Thursday (September 12). A strong contingent of firefighters, medics and police were sent to the scene as an emergency plan was put into action.
One of the injured workers walked out unaided. The second was taken to hospital suffering from chest pains while the third had to be brought out of the runnel on a stretcher suffering from a badly hurt arm.
The three were concreting the tunnel when the incident happened.
