Urgent rescue vehicle volunteers appeal in Dolores floods

TRAPPED British family rescued by army amid deadly rains

OWNERS of boats, tractors, trucks, vans and 4×4 vehicles are being urged to join flood rescue operations in Dolores.

The Mayor of Dolores has appealed to any citizens who live near the municipality who have such transport to report to the town hall.

The Major said: “The situation in the municipality is at critical level, we are without water and light, we urge any persons with the above listed safe transport to come and assist by coming straight to the Town hall we urgently need your assistance”

However police expressed caution to car owners who may wish to assist. They have been asked not to use their cars and to stay at home.

Here are some of the most striking images of Vega Baja received today by our readers to the Euro Weekly news team with a plea to assist the Mayor to spread the urgent appeal.
