THE SHOOTING took place on September 1, around 18:40 hours, in the area of Los Núcleos, Fuengirola.
The emergency services and police were called to the area where they confirmed the death of a 31-year-old man of Spanish nationality. The suspects fled the locality and have been on the run since. The principal suspect was believed to be political family of the deceased. An investigation was opened to clarify the circumstances of the event and identify the individuals involved.
The National Police located in Córdoba the alleged perpetrator of the shooting, a young 22-year-old man (with a criminal record for petty crimes) and also his alleged accomplice, who had fled to Seville. Both men (aged 22 and 33 respectively) have been arrested for their supposed involvement in the shooting of the man in Fuengirola. The youngest individual was arrested last Sunday in Cordoba and the second, the following day in Seville.
Both individuals were handed to the holder of the Court of Instruction No. 4 of Fuengirola, where they have been sent to prison.
