TRADITION: Bringing in the local grapes Photo credit: Associacio Cultural Amics de Teulada
AS it has since 2004, the Associacio Cultural Amics de Teulada (ACAT) again organised this year’s Festa del Moscatell. The fiesta celebrating the locally-grown muscatel grapes is also a celebration of the Valencia region’s roots and culminated in a morning spent bringing in the grapes and the traditional scalding of the grapes destined for raisins. This was followed by a procession with carts and wagons loaded with the grapes taken for treading watched by young and old alike and fascinated tourists.
