Something to celebrate at this year’s Festa del Moscatell

AS it has since 2004, the Associacio Cultural Amics de Teulada (ACAT) again organised this year’s Festa del Moscatell.

The fiesta celebrating the locally-grown muscatel grapes is also a celebration of the Valencia region’s roots and culminated in a morning spent bringing in the grapes and the traditional scalding of the grapes destined for raisins.

This was followed by a procession with carts and wagons loaded with the grapes taken for treading watched by young and old alike and fascinated tourists.
