TORREMOLINOS has done it again, the most popular town for tourists, not only in the Costa del Sol but also in the whole of Andalusia in July, according to figures from both the National Institute of Statistics (INE) and the Andalusian Institute of Statistics (IECA).
The INE’s Hotel Occupancy Survey found 615,506 holidaymakers stayed in the town during July. Torremolinos is on course to break records once more in reference to tourist occupation. Coming ahead of influential cities such as Seville who saw 445,434 visitors, Granada with 286,546 and Malaga with 274,222. And along the coast Torremolinos is leader with a huge margin over Benalmadena who was the second most popular destination with 386,255. Marbella third with 386,003, Fuengirola fourth with 293,312 and Estepona fifth with 185,335.
