Man charged for driving at 263km/h near Barcelona and filming it

A DRIVER who publicly posted a video of himself speeding is being hunted by police.

The Mossos d’Esquadra have launched a warrant for the arrest of a 50-year-old man who was caught driving at 263kph along a stretch of the C-33 near Barcelona.

The driver has been identified as a resident of Esplugues de Llobregat (Barcelona) and of Spanish nationality.

He uploaded a video of himself online driving along the stretch of highway, which has a speed limit of 120kph, and police began an investigation into the footage.

From the video, they were able to determine the model of car, the stretch of road and the identity of the driver as well as the date and time it was recorded.

The man was denounced by the police and they are now seeking him for his arrest for crimes against public safety.
