The Councillor for Innovation and Contracting, Aida García Mayor, said that with this initiative “the City Council assumes new achievements in the chapter of promotion of the actions contemplated in the Action Plan for Sustainable Energy”. These two new charging points will bring the total in Benidorm to nine and will increase in the coming years as people turn to electric vehicles as they are less damaging to the environment and will reduce the carbon footprint of towns and cities. The charging points will be able to charge two vehicles at the same time and will have three types of sockets: two in a direct current (50 kW) and one in an alternating current (43.5 kW).
