Spanish police in Ibiza arrest Israeli fugitive

A MAN wanted by UK police for allegedly sexually molesting his young stepdaughter for three years has been arrested in Ibiza.

The unnamed fugitive was detained by Spanish National police as he was about to board a flight to Israel.

UK police say he abused his stepdaughter when she was aged from 11 to 13 years old, saying he threatened to leave her mother debt-ridden if the girl every told anyone.

It was only on the day of the arrest that Spanish police received a notification from the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) asking them to help find the man, who is an Israeli citizen.

The International Fugitive Tracing Group had information that the man was on holiday in Ibiza and tipped off National Police, who identified and arrested him on a European Arrest Warrant.
