A WOMAN aged 69 has died whilst swimming off Las Gaviotas beach in Benalmadena today.
The 112 emergency services say they were alerted shortly after noon that a woman had been pulled from the water. At the Costa del Sol resort town.
Medics and Local police were sent to the scene, but there was nothing they could do to save the woman, who was pronounced dead.
This is the third drowning of the summer at the popular beach.
Last month a man was spotted struggling at sea
Rescuers used a jetski to reach him, but resuscitation efforts failed.
On July 1 Briton Ben Lloyd, who was aged 33, died after getting to difficulties while swimming. An inquest heard that he died of drowning.
