THE State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has issued the city of Malaga a yellow storm warning today as storms are set to drop an estimated 20mm of rain per hour.
The warning has been issued between midnight and 12 pm however showers have been forecast to take place all afternoon.
Forecasters have estimated that the probability of precipitation will be 60 per cent until reaching 80 per cent at the end of the day.
During the afternoon the storm clouds will extend to the entire province and there is a chance of hail and torrential rain showers.
The storm front will also see temperatures drop to between 23 and 28 degrees.
Meteorologists have claimed the cause of the dip in temperatures and abnormal weather passing across Spain is caused by the formation of a DANA (Isolated Depression in High Levels) and is due to have dissipated by Friday.
