Five arrested during Madrid Brawl

FIVE people have been arrested in Puente de Vallecas, Madrid during a fight between two families that around 35 people were involved in.

Police report that one of the attackers was carrying a 12 gauge shotgun and fired off a shot that injured a woman on the other side of the courtyard where the two families were fighting. The woman was rushed to hospital but doctors revealed that her wounds weren’t severe as she was just grazed.

When the National Police arrived at the scene they were able to detain the three brawlers that were carrying illicit weapons. Those detained included the man who wounded the woman with a shotgun. He will be charged with attempted murder whilst the other two will be charged with carrying a lethal weapon with intent to kill.

The other two arrests were made after a brief car chase as two of the pack decided to escape in a van. They were brought to a halt soon after they left the scene by police vehicles. They will be charged with reckless driving.

The rest of the gang is currently being tracked down by the police after escaping by foot.
