Around 35 passengers suffered cuts and bruises as they tried to protect themselves from the abrupt drop in altitude or were hit by objects, Spanish press reported.

At least 11 passengers were transferred to hospitals in Madrid after the aircraft landed safely at the capital’s Barajas airport on Tuesday night.
