Spanish police have opened an investigation into an attempted sexual assault.
The alleged perpetrator is a Moroccan citizen. The incident took place last Friday (August 16).
It has been reported that the Ertzaintza police received a call at 14: 20 on Friday afternoon, alerting them of the attempted sexual assault of a female lifeguard at the beach in La Concha de San Sebastian.
The incident took place inside the lifeguard’s locker room, where the suspect attempted to assault the woman. Municipal sources have stated that “The suspect suffocated the victim until she was left unconscious. Luckily, he did not achieve his goal.”
Once the lifeguard recovered she was able to leave the locker room and call on her colleagues for help.
The investigation into the incident by the Spanish police is still ongoing. So far, no arrests have been made.
