Police discover array of drugs in car heading for Villaricos festival

GUARDIA Civil arrested two individuals heading for the Dreambeach music festival after finding more than 250 doses of different kinds of drugs prepared for sale hidden in their vehicle.

Officers pulled over 25-year old A.R.S. and 24-year old D.A.L. during one of the vehicle checks set up on the access roads to the five-day electronic music event in Villaricos.

A superficial search of the car led to the discovery of a number of illegal substances. A more thorough examination of the vehicle back at the Guardia station brought the total amount seized to eight liquid poppers, 14 grammes of ecstasy, 13 tabs of speed, 73 grammes of hashish, 23 grammes of cannabis resin and 23 grammes of marijuana, as well as €550 in cash.
