LONG AWAITED: The Granadella Train could be on the road by this weekend. CREDIT: Javea Connect
THE long-awaited train in Granadella in Javea could be running as soon as Saturday (August 10).
After several teething problems it appears that the contract for the Granadella train to transport people to the beautiful bay has been awarded to Autobuses La Alcoyana.
The contract was originally awarded to another company but the owner delivered the documents too late and Java Council made the decision to pass the contract on.
Last year the train was delayed by the General Directorate of Traffic as a certificate was required as the road that the train will run along is a provincial road and not a local one as initially believed.
