Just hours after the Texas shopping mall massacre a gunman has opened fire in a bar in Dayton, Ohio killing nine and inuring 19.

One shooter was killed by police but authorities fear another shooter fled the scene in a black Jeep.

In details coming in from the Ohio Police Authorities, the gunmen opened fire at Ned Peppers Bar in the bustling area of East 5th Street in the Oregon District in the early hours of this morning (Sunday).

Eye witnesses describe a white male dressed all in black wearing a bulletproof vest, ear defenders and armed with an AR-15 assault rifle opening fire outside the bar.

He opened fire on the people sitting outside the bar for around 30 seconds, killing and injuring at least 10 to 20 people.

Eye witness James Williams described the events, explaining that it “happened right in front of the patio where I was sitting in front of Ned’s. The guy in front of Ned Peppers’ door is the active shooter.

“He tried to go into the bar but did not make it through the door. Someone took the gun from him and he got shot and is dead.

He told press “there are at least eight people dead right by the picnic table where I was on the street, a bunch of people taken to the hospital. I don’t know how many… this place is a disaster.’

Official figures of the death toll are feared to rise but officially, nine people have been confirmed dead with a further 19 taken to hospital for treatment.
